Breaking the Silence

a burdensome load

“carrying the cross was not meant to be regretful;
a burdensome load that you carry with sorrow;
in an odd, yet beautiful way, it is done with joy;
knowing it is meant for only for a moment -
til the sweetness of the true forever comes;
I can breathe in deeply and breathe out without a shy,
knowing that even here I don’t carry this alone.
a simple, compassionate act done within its community.”
